You can have the most refined transmission and powerful engine, but you can't forget about your auto tires. Your wheels are just as important and you know you can't just buy any kind for your ride.

Some rely on the cost of the auto tires being sold on the market, thinking that a higher price ultimately means better tires. And then there are some who choose their tires based on the brand name. Others choose tires mainly because of how appealing the logo is. Or, you may just ask for some new ones. Any of these buying techniques may help in your purchase, but the most certain way to get the best tires that are worth your money is to be informed.

First, consider how long your tires should last. Check the Uniform Tire Quality Grading rating. Second, think about wet weather requirements, and buy the appropriate tires that can handle the usual weather in your location. Next, evaluate the speed rating. If the rural interstate has a speed limit of 75 mph, do you really need a tire that is speed rated for beyond 150 mph? Finally, assess the ride quality. A tire may be more affordable than another, but no matter how good it looks, it may not be able to handle potholes and bumps on the road too well.

When buying, either you or the dealer will complete the registration form so you'll be informed of any recalls. When you purchase auto tires, request that they be balanced and obtain new valve stems. Keep tires appropriately inflated and regularly examine them for wear.
